Lori, your story mirrors my own so closely. I too was an 18 yr old freshman in denial about being pregnant, worried about telling my parents and feeling ashamed for “doing a bad thing”. My daughter was born and placed in May 1992. Being told to just move on and forget that it happened, but waiting until she was 18 then she’ll find me! We did finally reunite in June 2021 (she’s 29 now) through a DNA site. My husband and I were able to meet her and attend her wedding in September. I’m still riding the emotional roller coaster. I’m overwhelmed with my feelings for her after keeping them locked inside for so long. Thank you so much for sharing your story.

Lori, thanks so much for sharing your story with Yvonne. My story is #36 on this same podcast. While my daughter was born and placed in 1969, I could still relate to so much of what you said. Sharon
